JFK Library: Make A Difference Award
The Kennedy Library annually recognizes up to 100 middle school students from across Massachusetts for the difference they have made in their communities through service projects. I was nominated this past year by Thomas Putnam, the Library's director. I felt very honored to speak in front of 600 people and describe my project.
I also got the chance to meet the Massachusetts State Treasurer, Steve Grossman who was very nice and invited all the participants to the State House to stop by for ice cream anytime!! I will take him up on that offer soon.
